European car giant Stellantis is evaluating Tesla's NACS charging standard, and Europe and the United States are expected to reach an agreement.
CTOnews.com, June 14-European carmaker Stellantis said in a statement to Reuters yesterday that it is continuously reviewing the NACS standard and looks forward to more discussion in the future.
The NACS standard is Tesla's current charging design. CTOnews.com previously reported that Ford Motor Company and General Motors have announced that they will adopt Tesla's charging standard in subsequent models and will provide compatible charging solutions to existing electric vehicle users. At this point, the three major North American automakers have completed the unification of charging standards, and Tesla's charging design is expected to become a unified standard in North America.
Strandis also said in a statement: "our focus is to provide customers with the best possible charging experience, and our Free2Move Charge service will work with charging service providers to provide seamless and simple solutions that allow customers to recharge easily, both at home and on the road."
Strantis Group is formed by the merger of Peugeot Citroen (PSA) and Fiat Chrysler (FCA) in 2021, headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, with Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroen, Fiat, Opel, Peugeot, Maserati and many other brands. The company announced in February that it had launched 23 pure electric vehicles, which are expected to increase to 47 by the end of 2024.
