CTOnews.com June 14, Honda aircraft Corporation (HACI), a subsidiary of Honda in the United States, announced yesterday that it will commercialize the "HondaJet 2600 Concept" light business jet concept aircraft and plan to achieve FAA model certification and mass production in 2028.

▲ Tuyuan HACI decided that the new commercial aircraft will have a range of 2625 nautical miles (CTOnews.com Note: about 4862 km) and a cruising speed of 450kn (about 833km / h), making it the first aircraft of its class to span the entire American continent. The aircraft adopts innovative technologies such as Honda's independently developed on-wing engine support configuration (OTWEM), natural laminar wing and nose, composite fuselage and so on.

HACI said the plane could carry up to 11 passengers and crew and supported single or double pilots. It is 20% more fuel efficient than ordinary light business jets and more than 40% higher than medium-sized business jets with a maximum takeoff weight of 20000-35000 pounds.

HACI first unveiled the concept plane at the American Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Las Vegas in 2021. HACI said it was based on the high demand of the market that it decided to commercialize the concept machine.
