Up to 8 external 4K monitors, Apple announces new Mac Studio and Mac Pro support documents
CTOnews.com June 14, Apple recently updated the support documentation for the new Mac Studio and Mac Pro, detailing the two Mac external monitors. Mac devices with M2 Ultra can connect up to 8 60Hz 4K monitors.
The new Mac Studio has one HDMI 2.1port and the new Mac Pro has two HDMI 2.1ports. Users extend these ports to 8K monitors of 60Hz or 4K monitors of 240Hz, and M2 Ultra chips support up to six external Pro Display XDR.
The previous Mac Studio supported up to five external monitors when configuring the M1 Ultra chip. Apple's M1 Mac device released in 2020 can only have one external monitor, so the new model supports a maximum of eight, which is a considerable improvement.
