CTOnews.com, June 16 (Xinhua)-- according to the latest list released by the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple has obtained a new patent for the hotel business, indicating that Apple may be developing a Hotel app for iPhone and Apple Watch.

CTOnews.com cites Apple's patented instructions to help travelers book, check in, book room service, control room settings, use concierge services, provide information about nearby attractions and shopping malls, check out and related arrangements (taxi booking, car rental or check-in).

Apple said that the whole operation requires connecting different device systems and users to perform different operations. for example, users need to book by phone, check in in person after arriving at the hotel, order entertainment programs using the menu on the TV screen, and learn about nearby attractions through face-to-face conversations in the concierge.

Apple hopes to build a Hotel app on iPhone and Apple Watch that can connect to hotel booking and room service systems, as well as providing information about nearby scenic spots, shopping malls and stores to provide a complete one-stop service.

In the patent sketch, the Hotel application can also access room service and control lighting, temperature, audio settings, video settings, bathtub settings, and any other appropriate room settings.
