The test will last for three months, during which time Mercedes will learn how car owners use the technology.

Mercedes said the ChatGPT would make its car system's answers sound more natural and allow drivers to ask for destination information or solve other questions, such as what to eat for dinner.

Mercedes-Benz press releases show that drivers can not only use the phrase "Hey Mercedes" to give instructions, but also talk to their cars.

The press release also said that the results of the test plan will provide reference information for plans to add ChatGPT to other countries and other languages, meaning that if the test goes well, the feature is expected to be extended to more places and more cars.
