CTOnews.com, June 17 (Xinhua) the new "Safety Technical Specification for Lithium Ion batteries and Battery packs for Portable Electronic products" will be implemented at sunset on January 1, 2024.

CTOnews.com inquired that a new standard is about to be implemented in the national standard information public service platform, labeled "national standard, mandatory, and about to be implemented".

It can be learned from the details page that 11 units have mainly participated in drafting the standard. Including China Institute of Electronic Technology Standardization, Ningde New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Xinwanda Electronics Co., Ltd., Weiwo Mobile Communications Co., Ltd., Huizhou Liwei New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Huizhou Desai Battery Co., Ltd., Dongguan Xinnengde Technology Co., Ltd., Xiaomi Communication Technology Co., Ltd., OPPO Guangdong Mobile Communication Co., Ltd., Shenzhen BYD Lithium Battery Co., Ltd., Ningbo Bull Digital Technology Co., Ltd.

The new standard number is GB 31241-2022, which will replace GB 31241-2014 standard. The new standard mainly aims at electrical safety test, battery environment safety test, protection circuit safety and other aspects of mandatory requirements.
