The "pain" of being related to the world's richest man: Musk's sister says she is always overcharged

Beijing, June 20 (Xinhua) generally speaking, it should be a good thing to have a brother who is the richest man in the world. But for Tosca Musk, Elon Musk's sister, having such a big brother is both good and bad.

Musk and his sister Toscatoska, 48, are a filmmaker, CEO and founder of Passionflix. Passionflix is a streaming service and production company specializing in romantic films. According to Tosca's page on the Internet Film Database (IMDb), she has made more than 20 films and has contributed more than 55 works so far.

Tosca's other identity is Musk's sister, the youngest child in the family. Musk is the boss, and he also has a younger brother, Kimbal Musk. Kimbar is a restaurateur and philanthropist. Musk is currently the richest man in the world, with a fortune of $233 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

But for Tosca, sharing a surname with the world's richest man is both a blessing and a curse, a surname that once led her to be overcharged when negotiating a location for filming. "the location was supposed to be $5000 a day," Tosca said. "but when they heard my name, they thought we were rich, so they decided to charge us $25000 a day."

From left to right: Tosca, Musk, mother Meyer, Kim Bartoska said, "everyone thought my big brother would pay for everything, but he didn't." She added that having such a brother is a "double-edged sword" for her career. Tosca said her family was not "born rich".

Despite the downside of being related to the world's richest man, Tosca said that Musk's surname would probably bring her "luck" and that she would never try to change her surname.
