The series of games has been commercially successful. The intellectual property holders of this series have been transferred many times, and the holders so far are Activision. At present, Activision has appointed its Vicarious Visions and Beenox as the main developers of the game.
Most of the series is set on an island called Wumpa, located in southern Australia. Most of the series of authentic works belong to the platform type, and some of the works are integrated with other game types. The protagonist of the series is an anthropomorphic bandicoot named Crash, whose quiet life on the island of Wumpa is always disturbed by the villain Dr. Neo Cortex, who created Crash but wants to kill him. In most of the series, Crash must defeat Dr. Cortex and destroy his plan to conquer the world.
