CTOnews.com June 20 news, Rivian issued a statement: from 2024, Rivian owners will be able to use the adapter to use the Tesla supercharging station, from 2025 will make the Tesla charging port become the standard configuration for their vehicles, and will adopt Tesla's charging standard.

RJ Scaringe, chief executive of Rivian, said the deal would enable buyers of Rivian pure electric pickup trucks and sports utility vehicles to "take better advantage of Tesla's vast network of charging stations".

Tuyuan Pexels said it would continue to expand its charging network while producing R1T pickups and R1s SUV. The company has previously said it plans to build more than 3500 charging stations.

It is worth mentioning that China, as the world's largest electric vehicle market, has its own charging standards, so it will not be compatible with North American NACS standards for the time being. In addition, Japanese automakers such as Toyota and Nissan also have another standard called CHAdeMo.

Tesla has reached similar agreements with GM and Ford in recent weeks, while other automakers are considering using Tesla's supercharging network, such as Hyundai.

Tesla's supercharging stations account for about 60 per cent of the total number of fast charging stations available in the US, according to the US Department of Energy.
