CTOnews.com June 21, according to the Associated Press, Twitter employees filed a lawsuit in federal court in San Francisco yesterday, demanding that the company honor its promise on bonuses.

▲ Tuyuan Pexels employees said that in the month before Mr Musk's acquisition of the company, executives, including former chief financial officer Ned Segal, had "repeatedly" promised employees that they would pay 50 per cent of their 2022 bonuses. But with the arrival of Musk, these promises about bonuses have not been landed so far.

The lead plaintiff in the lawsuit, Mark Shawbinger (Mark Schobinger), a former senior director of compensation who left Twitter last month, is seeking a class action on behalf of current and former Twitter employees. Shannon Lis Riordan (Shannon Liss-Riordan), the plaintiff's lawyer, said the bonuses owed by Twitter amounted to "tens of millions of dollars".

Twitter, which has been disbanded by Musk's media relations team, did not comment on it other than an automatic reply.

CTOnews.com has previously reported that Musk has been carrying out various cost-cutting policies, including significant layoffs, since its acquisition of Twitter, which has led to a number of lawsuits from former employees and a large number of unpaid bills. Twitter was revealed to have refused to pay Google's cloud bill, which was about to expire, and was evicted from its office in Boulder, Colorado, for failing to pay its rent.
