Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu in South China for the delivery of clues! CTOnews.com June 21, according to foreign media Nextpit reported that as Nokia filed a patent lawsuit in Germany, realme phones will follow in the footsteps of OPPO, vivo "slow" in the German market operation.

Nextpit, an overseas website of Tuyuan realme, said that realme did not make it clear in its communication with its editors that they would withdraw from the German market, but the results should be similar. The office responsible for realme Europe claimed that business in Germany had "slowed" after some internal consulting and pending Nokia lawsuits. They are still waiting for positive news about licensing negotiations with Nokia so that they can resume marketing measures in Germany.

But until then, they will shift their budgets to other European markets. As a result, the recently launched realme 11 Realme 11 Pro and realme 11 Pro + phones may not appear on the shelves of German stores.

It is worth mentioning in a statement on vivo's German website that vivo announced the suspension of its sales in Germany only a week ago, while OPPO's German website has been almost empty. The announcement on the vivo German website reads: "Unfortunately, vivo products are not currently available in Germany, so there is no product information on our German website. If you are using vivo products, you can still rely on our customer service and you will receive future software updates."

CTOnews.com reported that in July 2022, a court in Mannheim, Germany ruled that OPPO infringed two related technology patents of Nokia, while in August, a court in Munich, Germany also ruled that OPPO infringed two Nokia patents and issued a ban on the sale of OPPO and one plus brand smartphones.

OPPO will stop paying royalties to Nokia after the contract expires in 2021. The patents mentioned belong to Nokia's SEP (Service support platform), covering 4G and 5G connections as well as the use of Wi-Fi scanning and security technology. The relevant person in charge of OPPO once said: "the company firmly opposes the unreasonable high fees for patents and the malicious act of coercing licensees to negotiate and accept unreasonably high license fees by litigation."
