Game chat community Discord will add digital wallpaper and e-books to increase the income of creators

CTOnews.com, June 21 / PRNewswire-Asianet /-- Game chat community Discord announced yesterday that it will begin testing a new feature in the coming months that allows creators to sell digital wallpaper and e-books on their Discord servers on an one-time purchase to increase their revenue capacity. This is the first time Discord has upgraded the Server Shop feature since it was launched in December last year.

▲ source Discord according to the official blog, when the new feature comes online, creators can sell digital content directly to the server participants they manage. In official examples, photographers can sell their photography as digital wallpaper or their summary of documents on how to take a good picture as an electronic textbook.

▲ source DiscordDiscord said that with the launch of new features, the development team will also modify the mechanism of the server store. So far, the store can only offer a "Premium Roles" subscription program, which allows creators to provide server participants with value-added features such as access to special chat areas.
