The Micron plant, located in Modi's home state of Gujarat, will receive a production subsidy worth $1.34 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 9.621 billion yuan), and the plan to build the plant will be officially announced during Modi's visit to the United States, CTOnews.com reported, citing Reuters.
A spokesman for Micron and the Indian government's Ministry of Science and Technology and other relevant departments did not respond to the Reuters verification.
