CTOnews.com, June 21, VMware updated the security bulletin today, saying that there is a "critical" vRealize security vulnerability in the old version, and there is already evidence that hackers are exploiting this vulnerability, so users are urged to install patches as soon as possible.

CTOnews.com quotes the announcement updated by VMware today as follows: "VMware has confirmed that hackers use the CVE-2023-20887 vulnerability to launch attacks."

VMware released a patch two weeks ago; then cyber security company GreyNoise issued another reminder on June 15 urging users to upgrade as soon as possible.

GreyNoise CEO Andrew Morris (Andrew Morris) also alerted VMware administrators to this ongoing malicious activity earlier today, providing special tags to help track IP addresses observed during attempts to exploit the CVE-2023-20887 vulnerability.
