It is reported that the YouTube legal team has sent an email to Invidious, a YouTube tracker blocking plug-in, which is mainly used to prevent Google tracker from collecting user information and blocking ads. Google believes that Invidious violates YouTube API's terms of service and developer policy, so it asked the Invidious development team to stop the service within seven days.

According to a statement from ▲ project manager TheFrenchGhosty, Tu Yuan GitHub but Invidious refused to implement this request. TheFrenchGhosty, the project manager, recently replied on GitHub that Invidious did not use YouTube's API to obtain video API, so they did not need to agree to any terms of service or policies of YouTube, nor did they comply with the requirements put forward by the YouTube legal team.
