According to the report, Cole believes that the Titan lacks equipment to remove carbon dioxide and circulating air. As a result, the crew inside the submarine may fall asleep before being completely suffocated. In addition, Cole said that the deep sea at 3800 meters is very cold, and the submarine may not have any electricity or light, because if there is electricity, the submarine crew will try to take the submarine out of the sea.

Cole said that the survival rate of the Titan personnel may be less than 50%, and it may be possible to salvage the Titan in the future, but this may take two months because of waiting for equipment such as cranes to be in place.

CTOnews.com had previously reported that the submersible, Titan, lost contact with its mother ship, a Canadian research ship called the Polar Prince, about 1448 kilometers east of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, less than two hours after entering the sea on Sunday. It is not clear why the submersible went missing.
