Spencer responded to why the Halo games didn't hit the Sony PlayStation console.
CTOnews.com June 24, Microsoft and FTC's hearing on the Blizzard acquisition entered the second day, when someone asked why the Halo series did not log on to Sony's PlayStation game console. Phil Spencer, who is at the helm of Xbox, made a positive response.
CTOnews.com attached Spencer's three reasons:
Spencer said that exclusive games is a mode of existence in the game console market, including Sony PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and other game consoles, each has its own exclusive games.
Secondly, the volume of the Halo game is relatively small. Spencer says Halo is much smaller than the call of Duty series, and Starry Sky is much smaller than my World.
The third is the number of players and game revenue. Spencer cited "my World" as an example, saying that the game has been so successful that it will be released on all platforms.
