CTOnews.com, June 27, AI Weather Anchor Aida, a subsidiary of Radio Television Hong Kong, made its official debut and will report local and world weather conditions on the station's "Radio Television Hong Kong Weather Bulletin" program from June 26.

Radio Hong Kong said on its official Facebook page that the AI anchor "will never eat screws (i.e. stuck, forgotten words, inarticulate)". According to the relevant sources of the station, Aida is one of the experimental projects for the application of AI in the station, which takes about 3 months to produce and is produced by AI virtual avatar technology.

It is worth mentioning that Aida's expression, voice, mouth shape and movements are completely computer-generated, without the intervention of real people. This will speed up the program production process and make it more convenient to update program materials. However, in the trailer video provided by Radio Television Hong Kong, Aida's tone is still a little stiff compared to that of a real person.

CTOnews.com noted that the local media New Media reported that Radio Television Hong Kong planned to introduce AI anchorman in its other sports fitness program, Sports World 123, to complete the action demonstration and replace the original host and coach.
