CTOnews.com June 28 news, Unity yesterday officially launched the AI software market AI Hub for developers, providing a more convenient AI software trading platform for AI software developers and game developers.

Unity allows AI software developers to supply development software directly to game developers through AI Hub and charge fees through Unity's Asset Store. This means that game developers can buy AI generation software from independent companies such as Inworld AI directly on Unity's platform, which can generate dialogue, UI or mapping textures in the game.

"I think AI will change games in several very profound ways, one of which is to make games faster, cheaper and better," Unity CEO John Richitiello (John Riccitiello) told the Associated Press.

Unity US shares surged 15 per cent yesterday to close at $42.38 on the news. (CTOnews.com Note: currently about Rmb306). Wells Fargo analyst Brian Fitzgerald raised Unity's target share price to $48 (currently about 347 yuan) and upgraded it to "overweight" in a report on Tuesday.

"We acknowledge that consolidation in the interactive entertainment industry may drive large studios to develop and use proprietary game development tools and assets in the long run, but we believe in Unity's strong competitive position in this area," Fitzgerald said in the report.
