At the 2023 Global Wisdom Logistics Summit held on June 28, Cainiao Group CEO Wanlin announced that Cainiao will formally launch "global five-day" international express products within this year, starting from key national markets, and gradually enable cross-border parcels to be delivered within five working days.
It is understood that through the meticulous operation of the four stages of domestic collection, trunk transportation, overseas distribution and terminal distribution, Cainiao International Express products are expected to speed up the whole process of cross-border parcels from payment to signing by 30% faster than the industry average. in order to meet the needs of cross-border merchants for extreme logistics efficiency and cost performance.
In addition to the acceleration of international express delivery, Wan Lin said that this year, Cainiao will also focus on logistics capabilities in overseas key regions, multi-level products in the domestic supply chain and domestic express delivery upgrading.
In terms of logistics construction in overseas key regions, Cainiao will deeply operate key logistics elements in Europe, North America, Southeast Asia and other overseas key markets, and build overseas local logistics networks at the pace of 1-2 countries a year.
On the same day, Wan Lin also announced that Cainiao launched its own quality express "Cainiao Express", focusing on quality services such as half-day delivery, current daily delivery, door-to-door delivery and night collection, in order to match the market demand for high-quality express delivery and differentiated services. In addition, this year, Cainiao will focus on creating three supply chain layered products, including optimized warehouse allocation "half-day", smart warehouse allocation "next day" and economic warehouse allocation.
Wan Lin believes that intelligent logistics will usher in new opportunities for development in the next 10 years. Cainiao will devote all its efforts to building a leading global intelligent logistics network, building three long-chain logistics networks, including domestic logistics, cross-border logistics and overseas local logistics, and forming three short-chain businesses such as terminal stations, logistics real estate and logistics technology.
