CTOnews.com, June 28, according to research firm TrendForce, global TV shipments will reach 46.63 million in the second quarter of this year, an increase of 7.5% and an annual increase of 2%, which means that TV shipments will increase for the first time after seven consecutive quarters of decline.

CTOnews.com read the report and found that TrendForce believes that TV shipments are expected to grow by a further 13.5% to 52.92 million units after entering the third quarter.

TrendForce said that due to the rise in panel prices, the price of 32-inch 75-inch TVs has increased by 1020% this year compared with the Singles' Day period. Shipments of Hisense and TCL rose 21.2 per cent and 19.7 per cent respectively in the second quarter. Among them, Hisense set a new record for single-quarter shipments, reaching 7.25 million units, an annual increase of 33.3%, making it the best performance of all TV brands.
