The new Douyin rule will come into effect on July 3: fans will be cleared if fans are raised by illegal means.

CTOnews.com June 30 news, Douyin official account recently released the "Douyin illegal powder management norms" (hereinafter referred to as "norms").

The Code makes it clear that Douyin punishes some self-media accounts for "accurately erasing fans" and "restricting accounts from being followed" for improper behaviors such as "publishing homogenized content" and "creating fake people" to win traffic and fan attention.

The specification has been put into trial operation and will come into effect on July 3, 2023.

CTOnews.com notes from the "norms" that users are not allowed to illegally get fan attention for their accounts by posting content, commenting on each other, setting up user profiles, and so on. There are five typical violations, as follows:

Publish vulgar, scrubbing and other eye-catching content that runs counter to mainstream values.

Publish a large number of homogenized content with the same or similar topics

Publish false information related to public policy, public safety, culture, education and entertainment, and hot spots of people's livelihood.

Publish inappropriate remarks in hot events, or impersonate hot parties to get hot.

Create a false person, imitate the image of others, fabricate professional qualifications, mislead other users, etc., through user information or published content.

According to the Code, if an account violates laws and regulations and the requirements of the Code, the platform will not only punish the content or account, but also deal with the number of fans or related functions of the account to varying degrees according to the situation and impact of the violation. Specific measures include:

Erase fans of the account obtained through illegal content or illegal behavior.

Clear all fans of the account.

Restrict the account from being paid attention to by others, etc.

In other words, if Douyin users follow the creator by watching a video, and then the video violates the rules, Douyin will erase the creator's new fans in accordance with the requirements of the Code. However, the behavior is mainly aimed at the illegal behavior of the creators, and the other rights and interests of the corresponding fans will not be affected.
