BOE ARU 2023 flexible AMOLED shipments target of more than 120 million pieces

CTOnews.com July 3 news, BOE A said in a conference call that the company's flexible AMOLED shipments in 2022 were nearly 8000 million pieces, an increase of more than 30% over the same period last year; flexible AMOLED shipments in the first quarter of 2023 were close to 3000 million pieces, with a target of more than 120 million pieces for the whole year, which will continue to enhance the proportion of high-end products shipped in flexible AMOLED business and enhance the profitability of the product portfolio.

In terms of vehicle display business, BOE has launched products that apply flexible AMOLED, Mini LED, BD CELL and other high-end display technology. At the same time, Jingfang Jingdian Chengdu vehicle display base has been put into production in 2022. After reaching production, the module base has an annual production capacity of about 15 million on-board display screens, which can cover 5-35 inch liquid crystal display modules.

CTOnews.com learned from the official that BOE previously held the Global Innovation Partnership Conference 2023, announcing that it would invest more than 50 billion yuan in technology research and development in the next three years to create more than 100 market segments.

At the conference, the smart cockpit of BOE's first global launch was equipped with 42.2 inch penetrating screen and 6.94 inch CMS (electronic external rearview mirror). The appearance, display, hardware boards and software systems of the cockpit were independently developed by BOE to support five AI safe driving technologies such as seat belt testing, fatigue driving identification and vehicle owner identification.
