CTOnews.com news on July 3, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the interim regulations on Radio Administration of Wireless charging (Power Transmission) equipment in May this year, which aims to promote the popularization of wireless charging technology and is applicable to the production or import of wireless charging devices for mobile communication terminals sold or used in China, portable consumer electronics wireless charging devices, and wireless charging devices for electric vehicles (including motorcycles). These provisions shall enter into force as of September 1, 2024.

In the regulation, in addition to the previously reported increase in the wireless charging power limit for mobile phones from 50W to 80W, it also shows that the regulation applies to the wireless charging of electric vehicles, which is expected to promote the market to put forward solutions to the difficult charging problems of electric vehicles and improve the phenomenon of "charging difficulty".
