The producer of Legend of Zelda hinted that a "more traditional" version of Zelda would not be considered for the time being.

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens for the delivery of clues on the way! CTOnews.com, July 5 (Xinhua)-- Nintendo's most recent two "Legend of Zelda" games are played in an open world, which is quite different from the traditional "box court" linear plot.

▲ source Nintendo foreign media NintendoEverything recently interviewed Eiji Aomura, the producer of the Legend of Zelda series, and asked "the latest two Zelda works are very different from those in the past. Although they are well received, some old fans say that they would prefer to see the classic Zelda Legend. I wonder if they will consider making traditional Zelda works in the future."

To this, Yingji Aokuma replied: "although it is not easy to draw conclusions about the future, the breath of the wilderness and tears of the Kingdom are actually conceived in our past ideas. The idea of the team is to create works with more new content, so Nintendo is no longer concerned about the form of the old game and is more willing to look forward to the future." It suggests that Nintendo will not consider a more traditional "box-court" linear version of Zelda for the time being.
