CTOnews.com July 5 news, the University of Oxford said School of Business recently released a research report that artificial intelligence selected private equity funds, its performance outperformed most institutional investors.

The research report points out that artificial intelligence technology can better read the prospectus and choose better private equity funds, with an annual return of 5% higher than that chosen by most human investors.

Ludovic Phalippou, a professor of financial economics, said: "Private equity technical documents usually contain a lot of expertise and are written by large institutional investors, and this is the first time artificial intelligence has been proved to be able to choose investments, and robots beat most professional investors."

The study shows that human investors are mainly judged by the reputation of private equity companies, past performance and other quantitative information, and ultimately have nothing to do with the performance of private equity funds.

The research shows that most investors are not interested in the qualitative information in the fund prospectus, and robots can predict returns based on this information.
