CTOnews.com, July 5, 2023, Samsung released the Quick Share application for the Windows operating system, which is now updated to the latest version of Windows (v1.4.40), which provides support for PC from third-party vendors.

Samsung Quick sharing App allows users to wirelessly transfer files between Samsung Windows laptops and Android phones / tablets, or to share a variety of content, including photos, videos and documents with others.

The app had previously been limited to Samsung's own laptops, causing annoyance for Samsung phone users who use other brands of PC. However, things have changed, which is good news for Samsung users.

The app now "supports Windows PCs with Intel Bluetooth / Wi-Fi capabilities released by other manufacturers," Samsung said in its update log.

To put it simply, users can now install Quick Share applications on non-Samsung laptops / desktops and transfer files between phones / tablets and other Windows machines.

CTOnews.com warns that Samsung Quick Share is currently only available for Windows devices with Intel network cards. Supported specifications:

Operating system: Windows 10 2004 (19041) or later

Bluetooth driver: (Intel) version 22.50.02 or later

Wi-Fi driver: (Intel) version 22.50.07 or later
