CTOnews.com, July 5 (Xinhua)-- Unistellar, a manufacturer of intelligent telescopes headquartered in Marseille, France, recently launched its unique Deep Dark technology. With this new technology, light pollution can be eliminated and users can clearly see the starry sky in brightly lit cities.

A recent international study found that the brightness of the urban night sky is increasing by 10 per cent a year, causing the number of visible stars in the night sky to decrease at the same rate, according to UnistellaUnistellar, a source of ▲ images.

By analyzing thousands of sky images taken by the company's smart telescope user community, Unistellar has developed a proprietary algorithm that automatically distinguishes light signals from celestial bodies from noise and light pollution, and by automatically filtering and eliminating such interference, so that users can see the target object more clearly. Even in very bright urban areas, the technology can instantly convert images to create a dark black background comparable to the depths of the universe.

Unistellar said that two of its smart telescopes (eQuinox2 and eVscope2) have been enhanced by Deep Dark technology through application updates. The company has previously received investment from Nikon, and the two companies are jointly developing light pollution elimination technology.

EQuinox 2 is currently priced at 369800 yen on the official website (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 18490 yuan), while eVscope 2 is priced at 619800 yen (currently about 30990 yuan).
