Apple introduces immersive AR experience app "Deep Field"

CTOnews.com, July 6, Apple today issued a press release introducing a new immersive AR experience called "Deep Field". With iPad Pro and Apple Pencil as carriers and inspired by curiosity about the natural world, Apple helps students and families around the world understand and interpret their surroundings and create and connect in real time.

CTOnews.com attached the official Apple description of the app as follows:

Taking advantage of the powerful performance and portability of iPad Pro, combined with Apple Pencil's ability to accurately depict ideas, Deep Field experience participants draw animals and plants inspired by works of art and environment, and create with vivid colors, shapes and textures.

After conceiving the wonderful plants, the participants used Apple Pencil to draw their own designs in the iPad version of Deep Field App, these works will be added to the global database, and the plants drawn by the global participants will be gathered here in real time to create a new ecosystem, using the magic of AR to showcase the invisible plant world.

With iPad Pro's lidar scanner, participants can see their work transformed into stunning 3D plant structures that spread to the floors, walls and ceilings around them, creating a new immersive natural world.

In order to enhance the multi-sensory experience, Deep Field also uses the multi-channel soundscape created by the famous audio naturalist Martyn Stewart to present the sounds of forgotten and extinct species, giving people a new understanding of the noisy beauty of the natural world.
