CTOnews.com noted that Microsoft has also recently made a major update to the Android subsystem of Windows 11, adding a number of new features. The preview update of July 2023 upgraded WSA to version 2306.40000.1.0 and is now available to users participating in the preview program.

In terms of performance, Microsoft says WSA now has "partial operating mode" enabled, which will allow it to run faster on devices with limited resources, such as those with only 16GB or 8GB memory. One of the most important changes in the update is related to camera compatibility, which allows Android apps to better access camera hardware.

Microsoft has also enabled an improved full-screen mode, which can be activated by pressing F11, now displays a floating taskbar, and improves the mouse and touch experience, giving users a more immersive and interactive experience using Android apps on Windows.
