EA sets up a new 3A studio Cliffhanger Games, which will produce single-player games for Marvel's Black Panther.
CTOnews.com July 10 news, EA today officially announced the establishment of Cliffhanger Games Studio, and announced the first project of the studio.
▲ source EA website Cliffhanger Games, headquartered in Seattle, USA, the studio is creating an original third-person single-player game based on Marvel's Black Panther IP. Earlier, it was reported that EA's Motive studio was working on a game based on Iron Man IP.
EA announced the formation of a new 3A studio in Seattle in 2021, led by Kevin Stephens, a former vice president and studio director of Monolith Productions. Stephens says the new studio is based on "values of diversity, collaboration and empowerment."
"We want our games to make players feel worthy of Panther's gaming experience in a unique, story-driven way, and we want Cliffhanger Games to help everyone on our team work together to make this magical world come true," Stephens said.
EA said that members of the new team have been involved in the development of games such as Middle-Earth: shadow Mordor, Halo: infinite and Ares, and the studio will also work closely with the Marvel game team.
CTOnews.com previously reported that Black Panther 2 was launched on May 6 on domestic streaming platforms such as Tencent Video, Youku and iqiyi.
