CTOnews.com, July 10-Tesla recently displayed a model of its first humanoid robot, Optimus, in some stores in North America. Tesla's store in New York City has received an Optimus display unit for citizens to watch.

Optimus is an intelligent robot released by Tesla last year, which is designed to perform dangerous or boring tasks for humans, such as carrying heavy objects and shopping groceries. Optimus is 1.8m tall, weighs 57kg and has a top speed of 8km / h. It is equipped with neural network and computer vision technology independently developed by Tesla.

Tesla said that the Optimus robot display unit in the store is not a real working prototype, but only shows the company's vision for future products. At present, the company is developing several working prototypes in the laboratory, but it is not clear when it will be officially put on the market. CTOnews.com noted that Tesla plans to first use Optimus robots in his factory to improve production efficiency. It is reported that the company plans to deploy "thousands" of humanoid robots in its plant.

The reason why Tesla displays Optimus in stores is to use people's curiosity about robots to increase attention to his automobile products.
