In order to give priority to these tasks, Microsoft and Activision have agreed with CMA that it is in the public interest to suspend litigation in the UK, and the two sides have jointly submitted a submission to the Competition Appeals Court to this end.

Judging from the previous claims of both sides, Microsoft is expected to give some preferential treatment to British players in cloud games.

According to the current situation, Microsoft should also soon reach a consensus with the British Market Regulatory Authority and get approval for the Activision Blizzard acquisition.

The Verge has confirmed with the UK Competition Commission that they are "prepared to consider any proposal from Microsoft to restructure the deal to address the issues raised in our final report".

At the end of April, CMA in the UK issued an announcement blocking the deal with "this could endanger the emerging cloud gaming market". Subsequently, the European Commission announced approval of the deal in May, arguing that Microsoft had made enough concessions in cloud games.

In fact, Microsoft has already reached several agreements with a number of cloud game service providers around the world, promising to provide them with games (including Activision Blizzard games) for at least 10 years.

As far as Microsoft is concerned, they must want to try to push forward the deal before the current merger agreement expires on July 18. If the extension is not agreed after that, Activision Blizzard may charge a handling fee of $3 billion (currently about 21.69 billion yuan).
