Apple two-in-one iPad Patent approved: supports multiple deformable, projectable virtual keyboards

CTOnews.com, July 12, according to a list published by the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple today obtained a total of 53 patents, the most noteworthy of which is the two-in-one iPad design.

This design patent is more like adding a deformed shell to the existing iPad. The CTOnews.com attached the design sketch as follows. The top of the iPad is fixedly connected to the shell, and the user can pull out the iPad and let the shell act as a bracket to meet different usage scenarios.

According to the patent sketch, the shell component also supports wireless protocols such as WiFi, Bluetooth or ultra-wideband (UWB). When the two devices are close, they can establish communication and transmit data.

Apple also envisions other iPad designs, such as figures 7, 8, and 9 below, and shows that the shell supports virtual keyboards and gestures such as sliding, kneading, and finger movement in figure 14B.
