BYD has won the first EU UNECE R155 / R156 system certificate for domestic commercial vehicles, and its business is expected to go deep into the European market.

CTOnews.com, July 12, UNECE R155 / R156 is a network security and software update certificate enforced by EU regulations, designed to deal with the network security and consumer privacy risks posed by the vehicle itself in the development of automobile digitization, Internet and automation.

After inquiry, CTOnews.com learned that from July 2022, all new energy models entering the European Union must meet the UNECE R155 / ECE R156 system certificate, which is formulated by the United Nations World vehicle regulations Coordination Forum, which is more stringent and difficult to apply. Cars must pass strict performance and audit requirements and obtain a series of certificates before they can enter the European market.

This is the first commercial vehicle system certificate of relevant network security standards after BYD won the first ISO / SAE 21434 system certificate and R155R156 system certificate for commercial vehicles.
