CTOnews.com July 13 news, foreign media TechPowerUp recently interviewed AMD executives David McAfee, which talked about the delay of the launch of the Ruilong 7040 series mobile.

Tuyuan TechPowerUpDavid McAfee said that there are already products with "Phoenix" series processors on the market, and new products from Thunder Snake and Hewlett-Packard will also be available soon. He believes that the series of processors are aimed at high-end areas, and OEM manufacturers want to polish their products to a higher level, resulting in longer development time than expected.

Foreign media asked whether it was a software problem or a hardware problem that led to the postponement of the launch of the "Phoenix" series processors. David McAfee did not respond directly, saying that such things tend to be a combination of many reasons. He also talked about the power management framework (PMF) of the "Phoenix" platform, saying that the system-level framework ensures that processors run at the right power level, such as running Office applications or browsing the web.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, the AMD R7 7840HS series of processors was originally released in January and was scheduled to launch in March, then postponed to April, when some of the Mechanical Revolution and Hewlett-Packard products finally began to hit the market at the end of May. It is now mid-July, and R7 7840HS nuclear versions of big companies such as Lenovo and Asustek are still not on the market.
