The report says it is the best deal to sell Apple's old iPhone on August 19-26.

CTOnews.com July 15, the second-hand recycler SellCell recently released a report saying that the best time to sell the old iPhone is from August 19 to 26 each year, after which the value of the old iPhone will be lost by up to 65%.

This report reviews the price of the old used iPhone before and after the release of the new iPhone over the years. The CTOnews.com summary is as follows:

In 2021, 28 days before Apple launched iPhone 13 (August 26 to September 23), the prices of used iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 series lost up to US $189, a 60% discount compared with the official recommended retail price.

In 2022, before Apple launched iPhone 14 (August 16 to September 16), the prices of used iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 series lost up to US $261, a 65% discount compared with the official recommended retail price.

The agency therefore believes that the most sensible time for users planning to upgrade the iPhone 15 series to sell second-hand iPhone is from August 19 to August 26.

On the one hand, it can maximize the retention of the old iPhone, on the other hand, it will not depreciate too much because of the impending release of new products.
