CTOnews.com Microsoft announced Friday that it will end testing of the Xbox Game Pass family membership program on August 15. The XGP Family Membership Program has only been tested in a small number of countries and regions such as Ireland and Sweden, and no specific launch date has been announced.

CTOnews.com previously reported that in this test, the XGP Family Membership Program allows up to 5 people in the same country or region to form a group, and each account has "its own independent access to XGPU games, content and benefits."

Microsoft Xbox will allow players to convert their XGPU membership subscription into an XGP Family Membership program, with a one-month conversion rate for XGPU membership into an 18-day XGP Family Membership, a conversion that is only available to primary users and irreversible.
