Rare 4GB the original Apple iPhone unopened phone was auctioned, setting a new world record at a sky-high price of 158000 US dollars.
CTOnews.com July 17 news, a factory original sealed 2007 iPhone auction began earlier this month, and finally broke the world record with a sky-high price of 158644 US dollars (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 1.134 million yuan), the subsequent transaction price may be higher.
In February, another unopened original iPhone sold for $63,000, but both were 8GB models, compared with the original 4 GB model at auction. The 4GB version is said to have been in production for only a few months, making it even rarer.
In subsequent auctions, user enthusiasm for the original iPhone seems to have waned, with an iPhone selling for just over $18000 in April, down $45000 from February.
In fact, this rare first-generation iPhone only because of the 4GB capacity difference led to the auction price of 158,000 US dollars, and this batch also has another 8GB sealed original iPhone, finally reached only 44771 US dollars (currently about 320,000 yuan).
The auction page LCG Auctions explains that Apple launched the original iPhone 16 years ago (June 29, 2007) in 4GB and 8GB models. The 8GB model was more popular, so Apple stopped producing the 4 GB model a few months later and introduced a higher 16GB model instead. Sales of the original 4 GB iPhone were very limited and it is even rarer to keep it unopened.
