Tesla introduces solar charging service, which can reduce the electricity bill of car owners.

CTOnews.com July 18, Tesla recently announced the launch of the "Charge On Solar" function, your Tesla vehicle can only use the excess solar energy generated by Tesla solar system to charge.

If Tesla owners want to try out this new feature, they need to upgrade the car version to 2023.26 and later, Tesla Powerwall to 23.12.10 and later, and the Tesla application to 4.22.5 to coordinate the two.

After the user has completed the upgrade, open the Tesla application, you can click to enable the "Charge On Solar" function, and users can set the cost limit and preferred fee location according to their own needs.

Once switched to solar charging, the vehicle will monitor the charging in real time and adjust the charging level every 10 seconds as needed, and users can also schedule the time to use solar charging.
