CTOnews.com, July 18-Infosys, India's second-largest exporter of software services, said on Monday that it had signed an agreement with existing customers to provide artificial intelligence (AI) and automation services for a period of five years, with a target expenditure estimated at $2 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 14.34 billion yuan).

The agreement includes development, modernization and maintenance services related to artificial intelligence and automation, the company said in an exchange filing. However, the company did not disclose the names of its customers.

As ChatGPT, an OpenAI-generated chat robot supported by Microsoft, sweeps the world by the end of 2022, companies around the world have increased their investment in artificial intelligence.

Infosys made the move after rival Tata Consulting Services said it planned to train 25000 engineers to be certified by Microsoft Azure Open AI. Other competitors, such as Wipro, plan to invest $1 billion (currently about 7.17 billion yuan) in artificial intelligence over the next three years.
