Pinduoduo App launched the local life entrance, selling special food and beverage coupons and providing order-issuing service.

CTOnews.com July 19 news, pinduoduo App has now launched the "local life" entrance in version 6.68.0, which is located in the "recharge center" on the home page. At present, it mainly sells food and beverage coupons and provides services such as placing orders on behalf of others.

CTOnews.com measurement, users open pinduoduo App home page, click to enter the "recharge center", slide down the interface to see the "local life" entrance, the location can be said to be very hidden. After clicking to enter, you can see the discount coupon activities of various catering brands, mainly focused on fast food and drinks, users can choose from a small range.

It is worth mentioning that some brands of coupons need to contact customer service after purchase, and provide store codes for "placing orders on behalf" as required, and then merchants will inform consumers to pick up or provide delivery services at the nearest stores, which is not convenient to operate.

At present, a number of App have joined the "local life" services across the border, such as Douyin, Wechat Video account, Xiao Hongshu and so on, among which Douyin has opened a takeout service, which seems to be no longer satisfied with the group-buying business. At the same time, "local life" giant Meituan is also exploring the way to "bring goods". In the first half of this year, Meituan has launched functions such as short video and live streaming services, and provides traffic support for businesses.

As more new players join the "local life" service, we can look forward to whether Meituan's position in this field can be shaken.
