CTOnews.com July 19 news, TSMC plans to release the second quarter results this week. Industry analysts expect TSMC's revenue to fall 14% year-on-year and net profit to fall 27% in the second quarter, according to Reuters.

Industry analysts expect TSMC's second-quarter revenue of $15.53 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 111.505 billion yuan), roughly in line with the guidance issued in mid-April.

TSMC's revenue in the second quarter of 2022 was $18.16 billion (currently about 130.389 billion yuan) and performance was further boosted by tight supply of semiconductors.

For semiconductor companies, the second quarter of each year was basically flat, and demand began to pick up close to the third quarter, preparing for the autumn debut of products such as Apple.

Analysts put TSMC's second-quarter net profit at $5.58 billion (currently about 40.064 billion yuan), down 27% from a year earlier.

CTOnews.com note: TSMC, which makes contracts for companies such as Nvidia and AMD, has also benefited from the bullish AI market, with its shares up 30 per cent so far this year.
