CTOnews.com, July 21 (Xinhua)-- Bugatti, the world's top supercar brand, has announced that it will launch the next generation supercar, the successor to the existing Bugatti Chiron supercar, in 2024.

The model is limited to 500 units worldwide and has been sold out.

The Bugatti Chiron is equipped with an 8-liter W16 four-turbocharged engine with a maximum output power of 1500hp / 6700rpm and a maximum torque of 163kgm / 2000-6000rpm. Its 100km acceleration is only 2.4s. For safety reasons, its maximum speed limit is 420km/h and the theoretical extreme speed is about 463km/h.

Bugatti said the successor to the Chiron has been designed for more than two years and is scheduled to start production in 2026.

CTOnews.com has previously reported that Bugatti's design director has said its first all-electric supercar may not be available until after 2030, and the brand will focus on hybrids throughout the 2020s.
