Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen West Window old clues delivery! CTOnews.com July 26, Reuters reported that the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is finalizing a long-awaited antitrust lawsuit against Amazon, which may eventually lead to the separation of some of the company's businesses.

▲ The details of Reuters 'current lawsuit are still unclear, but Reuters revealed that the entire agency, including FTC Chairman Lena Khan himself, is paying attention to Amazon. It is reported that the US FTC has collected a large amount of evidence from Amazon. The FTC is expected to launch relevant lawsuits as early as August. If the lawsuit is successful, The court could order the breakup of Amazon's current $1.3 trillion business empire.

Reuters said the FTC may file a lawsuit specifically targeting Amazon Prime, arguing that Amazon Prime membership creates unfair competition and forces merchants to switch to Amazon's own logistics and advertising services.

Reuters also claimed that the FTC had collected evidence from dozens of witnesses inside and outside Amazon in various ways, including Amazon CEO Andy Garcia and company founder Jeff Bezos.

Amazon previously denied the allegations, saying sellers priced their goods. A judge in Washington, D.C., dismissed the case, but a judge in California allowed it to proceed.

This isn't the first time the FTC has targeted Amazon, CTOnews.com reported earlier that the FTC had previously targeted Amazon's acquisition of robot vacuum maker iRobot, and staff tried to block the deal.
