Microsoft Teams 2.0 will introduce Meet function: managing meeting activities and content
CTOnews.com July 27, according to foreign technology media Petri reports, Microsoft will launch a preview version of Microsoft Teams 2.0 update in August, focusing on adding Meet applications to manage conference activities and content.
The new Meet application will provide an overview of all the content of the meeting, integrate chat, notes, meeting summary, agenda and other content, making it easy for users to understand the meeting-related information.
The Meet page will be divided into "Up next" and "Recent" sections to show upcoming and recent meetings.
The Up Next section will include a generative AI feature that allows users to find relevant documents or files they may need more quickly.
The Up Next section also displays meeting invitations and reminders, as well as how to resolve the content of a meeting, and so on.
The Recent section allows users to view the content of Teams meetings in the last 30 days.
CTOnews.com quoted Petri as saying that the generative AI feature is only available to users who sign up for Microsoft Teams Premium subscriptions. Microsoft Teams 2.0 is expected to become the default client in September 2023.
