Sources say Capcom will launch an "undisclosed game" by March next year, which is expected to sell millions of units.

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu in South China for the delivery of clues! CTOnews.com, July 28, Bloomberg reporter Takashi Mochizuki tweeted that Japanese game maker Capcom has confirmed that it will launch a "hitherto undisclosed" game within the current fiscal year (as of March 2024). Moreover, the game will "sell millions of sets".

He also revealed that the Sword Canes studio in charge of the game currently has 22 employees, most of whom are animators.

CTOnews.com previously quoted Bloomberg as saying that Capcom's share price is up another 3% this year, and has soared over the past decade, up a total of 1200%.

Several analysts believe that Capcom is currently the leading game publisher in Japan, and its series of IP such as "biochemical crisis" and "Monster Hunter" have received a good response around the world in recent years.

Not only that, it turns out that Capcom's "deep digging strategy" for classic games is also very effective. In addition to the "biochemical Evil" remake, recent reproductions such as "Locke EXE" have also achieved good results.

According to the latest data from Capcom's best-selling games, the following games are listed in TOP 5 (official statistics as of March 31 this year in parentheses):

1. 146 million copies of "biochemical crisis" (142 million copies)

2. 94 million copies of "Monster Hunter" (9200 million)

3. 52 million copies of Street Fighter (4900 million)

4. 40 million copies of "Locke people" (3800 million)

5. 29 million copies of "Ghost crying" (2900 million)

So far, however, there are still different opinions about this mysterious new work. According to the comments section of relevant reports at home and abroad, some people say it is a remake of "Monster Hunter", while others claim to be a remake of games such as "reverse referee 7" or "biochemical Evil: Veronica" and "devour Heaven and Earth 2".
