HMD Global has not been out of the UK for 2 years, and HMD Global shuts down the virtual operator department HMD Mobile.

CTOnews.com, July 28 (Xinhua)-- HMD Global is spinning off some businesses that do not live up to expectations, including HMD Mobile, a virtual operator service.

HMD Mobile was founded in 2020, and HMD Global plans to develop into an independent virtual network operator based on the Nokia brand.

After shutting down the global roaming service HMD Connect last year, HMD Global now confirms to Suomimobiili that the service has been stopped.

HMD Mobile stayed in the UK market and originally planned to expand into the international market, but did not get enough development after that.

The virtual operator service offered by HMD Mobile is based on the UK operator EE network, and the cheapest package is £6.50 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 60 yuan), which provides wireless calls, text messages and 1GB data traffic.

HMD Mobile did not post an announcement to users, but the description has been deleted on the HMD Global and Nokia.com websites.
