As a result of the strike, several Sony films have been postponed, including Spider-Man: beyond the Universe and GT Racing
CTOnews.com, July 29 (Xinhua)-- Sony Pictures has announced a change in the release schedule of its new film, Spider-Man: beyond Spider-Man Universe, scheduled for March 29, 2024; Expenditure 2, which was originally scheduled for release on December 20 to March 29, 2024; Craven the Hunter from October 6 to August 30, 2024; and GT Racing: racing Speed from August 11 to August 25.
At the same time, two new films are scheduled for release, "Jedi Warriors 4" will be released on June 14, 2024, and "Venom 3" will be released on July 12, 2024.
CTOnews.com learned from multiple sources that Sony Pictures' massive delay was due to a dual union strike and a conflict between the Actors Guild of America (SAG) and the American Television Trading Association (AFTRA).
With the closure of production and the withdrawal of actors, more films will reschedule their release dates, such as Sand Dunes 2.
It is understood that Spider-Man: parallel Universe, which was released on Chinese mainland on December 21, 2018, has won more than 20 Oscars for best animated feature film. Spider-Man: the Universe will tell the adventures of "Little Black Spider" Miles and Spider Gwen across multiple parallel universes.
