CTOnews.com, July 30, according to CCTV, at 09:00 Beijing time today, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully launched seven Singapore satellites from the PSLV-CA C56 carrier rocket at the Sadishdawan space launch site.

The mission is India's sixth launch this year, the 58th flight of PSLV rockets and the 17th flight of PSLV-CA models.

▲ Source: ISROCTOnews.com Note: PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle), the polar orbiting satellite carrier rocket, is one of the two major Indian aerospace rockets, specifically subdivided into PSLV-G, PSLV-XL, PSLV-CA and other sub-models, of which the CA model has a LEO capacity of 2.1t.

According to reports, the seven satellites include the main satellite DS-SAR and six sub-passenger satellites. DS-SAR is a radar imaging earth observation satellite developed by DSTA and ST Engineering, which will be used to support the satellite image needs of various agencies within the Singapore government.

The DS-SAR carries the synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) payload developed by Israel Aerospace Industry Corporation (IAI). ST Engineering will use it to provide multimodal and more responsive imaging and geospatial services to its commercial customers.

This allows DS-SAR to provide round-the-clock day and night coverage and to image at a resolution of 1m under full polarization measurements, ISRO said.
